Slow Food New York State works to educate consumers through like-minded partnerships with the region’s culturally diverse advocates who believe in a just food system that is environmentally sustainable, and increase the ability for all New Yorkers and neighbors alike to provide, consume and promote good, clean and fair food for all..

Vision

We seek to enlighten eaters about the Joy and Justice around food that celebrates regional craftsmanship and cultural traditions, and creates a common ground that bridges divides to grow an equitable, just and healthy food system for New York State.

Good

We believe in delicious food created with care from healthy plants and animals. Gathering around good food is a wonderful way to celebrate diversity of people, place, and culture.

Clean

We believe in nutritious food that is as good for the planet as it is for our bodies. Food should be grown and harvested with methods that improve our ecosystems and promote biodiversity.

Fair

We believe that food is a universal right. Food should be accessible to all—regardless of income—and produced by people who are treated with dignity and justly compensated for their labor.
